Community Partners

Throughout our years of community involvement Elevations Credit Union has supported the work of many local non-profit groups. As a result, we have developed close ties to several organizations that provide county-wide services and whose missions fit our giving focus.

Established in 1991, the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County exists to improve the quality of life in Boulder County, now and forever, and to encourage an ethic of philanthropy. The organizations works with donors, supports work of local non-profits and acts as a community resource. Elevations Credit Union participates as a Business Partner in the Culture of Giving, collaborates on the Millennium Trust, and provides volunteer leadership to the Community Foundation. The mission of "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Boulder County is to promote self-sufficiency and educational success for low-income children by providing a long-term program of academic, social & cultural enrichment, coupled with the promise of tuition assistance for higher education upon high school graduation. Elevations Credit Union takes an active role in the organization’s annual school supply and holiday drives, provides volunteer leadership and supports programming with funding allocated by the Community Relations Committee. A private, not-for-profit established in 1963, Imagine! provides support services to people with cognitive, developmental, physical and health related disabilities, so they may live fulfilling lives of independence and quality in their homes and communities. Family members of Elevations Credit Union staff have experienced the value of Imagine! services first hand. Credit Union staff participate in a volunteer leadership role and the Credit Union's Community Relations Committee supports Imagine! programming with grant funding. Thistle Community Housing is committed to ending the growing displacement of Boulder County and surrounding area residents who can no longer afford to live here. Thistle acquires, renovates and builds quality, affordable rental and home ownership housing throughout Boulder County. In 2002, Elevations Credit Union and Thistle Community Housing launched "Alliance For the American Dream" a five-year program to raise $2.5 million from the local community, to support 1,000 additional permanently affordable homes.
