History At A Glance

January 21, 1953 Opened for business in the basement of Macky Auditorium, University of Colorado Boulder campus, with 12 members and $50 in assets.  Services offered were savings accounts and personal loans.
1960’s Assets grew to $2 million.
1965 Opened office in University of Colorado stadium with teller services and member service personnel.
1973 Total membership reached 5,000.
1978 Constructed building at 2935 Baseline Road, Boulder with drive up tellers and safe deposit boxes.  Began offering checking accounts.
1981 Began mortgage loans.
1984 Introduced ATMs.
1988 Introduced Visa debit and credit cards.  Merged with Boulder Standards Federal Credit Union and extended membership beyond the University.
1990 Surpassed $100 million in assets.
Opened branch in Lafayette.   
1991 Elevations branch opened in the UMC at the University of Colorado
1994 Established money market accounts.
1996 Opened office at 2960 Diagonal Highway, Boulder.
1999 Launched Web site with loans and online account access.  Established a Community Relations Committee to assure community involvement.
2000 Joined CO-OP nationwide ATM Network.
2002 Assets reached $500 million.  Opened Boulder Table Mesa Branch at 607 S. Broadway, and moved the Boulder Baseline Branch to 4760 Baseline Rd.
2003 Opened Administrative Support Center at 2300 55th Street, Boulder.  Launched RealityCheck consumer education program.
2004 Received national Desjardins Award for excellence in youth financial education.
2005 Received $150,000 grant by the National Credit Union Foundation to support “Alliance For the American Dream” affordable housing program.
2006 Opened Branch at 1079 S. Hover St.in Longmont
2006 Name Changed to Elevation Credit Union, New Name, Same Values.
2007 Voted by the readers of the Daily Camera 1999 – 2007
2008 Elevations opens three new branches: Broomfield/Westminster, Broomfield/Erie and Longmont Main Street
