What is Courtesy Pay?
Courtesy Pay is a discretionary service that allows us to pay a check written by you, and on signature-based debit card transactions, on your checking account, even if it causes the account to become overdrawn up to a present limit of $1,031.00 on Free & eStyle Checking accounts and $3,031.00 for Dividend Checking accounts. While it is not an invitation to overdraw your account, it is an added layer of safety should you accidentally write checks for more than you have in your account, or an inadvertent error that causes the account to become overdrawn. You should consult with the Credit Union regarding our formal overdraft services via your account or an overdraft line of credit, which may better serve your needs.
How does it work?
