City of Fort Collins Business Utilities Customers

Elevations is now offering its energy loan program to City of Fort Collins business utilities customers with electric and water services. Elevations will originate, fund and service new Fort Collins business energy loans for business customers of City of Fort Collins utilities. If your business is a City of Fort Collins utilities customer, contact the Energy Services supervisor at btholl@fcgov.com or 970.416.4326.


Energy Loan Benefits & Details

Benefits:

Loan details:

  • Fixed rates starting as low as 3.75% APR*
  • 36, 60, 84 or 120 month terms
  • Minimum loan of $1,000**
  • Loan fee of 2% for energy loans over $40,000
  • Property must be located in Boulder County or the City of Fort Collins, Colorado. In Fort Collins, must be an electricity/water business customer
  • Before a loan can be issued, an Energy Advisor will work with you to ensure your project meets loan eligibility criteria and any available rates
  • A $25 processing fee will be applied and all borrowers will be required to become a member of Elevations Credit Union
  • In Boulder, all projects must be approved by the city

Examples of approved business energy projects include:

  • Lighting upgrades
  • Energy Audit ASHRAE Level 2 or 3
  • Energy management
  • Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)
  • Office equipment
  • Laundry equipment
  • Motors and drives
  • Refrigeration, food service and grocery
  • Walls and roofing
  • Water heaters
  • Renewables***

Xcel Energy Customers:

Any Xcel Rebates that you may qualify for can be combined with your Energy Loan as well as EnergySmart rebates. If you receive a rebate for your project, there is no prepayment penalty if you choose to use it to pay off part or all of your Energy Loan.  To find out what rebates you qualify for, talk to your EnergySmart Advisor.


* APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Actual APR will be determined when you apply and will be based on your application and credit information. Click here for additional rate information.

** Business energy loans over $40,000 may be variable rate, are underwritten on a case by case basis and may take longer to process. Business energy loans may exceed $150,000 with prior review.

*** In order to qualify for Solar Photovoltaic and other renewable energy sources under this loan, borrowers must achieve 15% energy efficiency improvement to the property through the respective programs.
