That’s why we’ve planned two great events for you at Jessup Farm on Oct. 6 to support Big Green, a nonprofit that’s connecting kids to real food in the Poudre School District by building Learning Gardens at local schools.

Elevations Harvest Fest at Jessup Farm

Show your support for building gardens in local schools at Elevations Harvest Fest! Stop by this free family-friendly festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jessup Farm. Plant seeds with Big Green and find out about the work they’re doing at local schools in the Poudre School District, learn about beekeeping or say hi to a variety of local vendors. Kids will also enjoy a multitude of fun activities including face-painting, pumpkin decorating and much more! Enjoy a cookout from The Farmhouse at Jessup Farm, and don’t forget to visit the neighborhood shops and restaurants at the Jessup Farm Artisan Village plaza.

Join Elevations at a very special farm to table dinner to support the completion of Big Green’s Learning Gardens in schools in the Poudre School District. Give back to the community you love and enjoy a delicious farm-to-table meal with seasonal dishes featuring fresh ingredients. Mingle with your neighbors around the table as the sun sets over the mountains. After the last bite, take in an intimate concert from Green River Ordinance, starting at 8 p.m. Beer and wine will be available. Use #BigNightForBigGreen and #ElevationsCU to share your photos.

About Big Green

Big Green Foundation Logo

Big Green is a nonprofit that’s connecting kids to real food through a nationwide network of Learning Gardens and Food Literacy Programs. Our events at Jessup Farm on Oct. 6 will help will help Big Green build four Learning Gardens in the Poudre School District at Tavelli Elementary, O'Dea Elementary, Laurel Elementary and Lincoln Middle School. All funds raised will go toward a challenge match from the City of Fort Collin’s Nature in the City Initiative.

With these new gardens, Big Green will have 17 Learning Gardens in Northern Colorado, 68 in Colorado and 500 nationally. Learning Gardens are designed to improve the health of students and communities through experiential learning and garden-based education opportunities in low-income schools. Through Learning Gardens, Big Green is:

  • Increasing students’ academic engagement and achievement
  • Increasing students’ knowledge and likeability of fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Strengthening the school/community relationship by creating opportunities to work together

Parking at Jessup Farm

We encourage you to ride your bike to Jessup Farm! We will have bike parking available for both events. If you choose to drive, parking is very limited, so we recommend carpooling.

Limited car parking is available in the lower lot: Turn right just before the Barrel House as you enter Jessup Farm. Signs will be set up to guide you. Street parking is also available in the neighborhood surrounding Jessup Farm. Please be respectful of our neighbors, and do not block driveways, alleys, or otherwise park illegally.
