Enrolling your debit card in Elevations Local Change is a simple way to give back. Your purchases get rounded up to the nearest dollar, and the extra change goes to Elevations Foundation for local scholarships and community grants. Extra change from purchases made with Forever Buffs cards goes directly to CU Boulder student and student-athlete scholarships. Because giving back should be that simple.
Elevations Local Change details:
If you have an Elevations Visa® debit card, you can be a part of Elevations Local Change (contact us if you need a new debit card)
When enrolled, transactions made with your debit card are rounded up to the nearest dollar
Each day, the total change from the previous day's transactions will be securely deposited to Elevations Foundation as a single donation
Elevations Foundation will channel your donations to provide scholarships to college-bound Colorado high school seniors and community grants to local nonprofits
Have a Forever Buffs debit card? Elevations Foundation will channel your donations to scholarships for students and student-athletes at CU Boulder
You can set a monthly donation cap, and you may change the cap or cancel your Local Change enrollment at any time

You may enroll in Elevations Local Change by completing the form above, visiting a branch or calling us.
You can enroll in Elevations Local Change if you have a personal Elevations checking account. Transactions posted using the debit card associated with your enrolled checking account will be rounded up when the transaction posts. Each day, a single donation for the cumulative amount posted the prior day through Elevations Local Change will be transferred from your checking account to Elevations Foundation.
Donations made to Elevations Foundation through Elevations Local Change may be tax deductible. Please check with your qualified tax advisor. Donations will appear on your monthly account statement, and you will receive a year-end tax donation statement.
Each day, a single donation for the cumulative amount posted the prior day through Elevations Local Change will be transferred from your checking account to Elevations Foundation.
For example, if you have three transactions for $1.75 each that are posted on Monday, those three transactions will all be rounded up to $2, and a single donation of $0.75 will be transferred to Elevations Foundation on Tuesday.
Yes. Each day that you have at least one transaction posted on your debit card, you will see one cumulative amount posted the following day with the transaction description “Withdrawal ElevFdn Charity.”
You can set a monthly donation cap of any amount. After you reach the cap, no additional donations will be made. If you haven’t hit your monthly cap yet but a transaction will result in exceeding the cap, a partial roundup will be donated from that transaction to meet your monthly cap. When your monthly cap is reached, transactions will not be rounded up until the next month.

No, you do not need a new debit card to enroll. If you currently have a debit card, you may use that card to enroll in this program. If you do not have a debit card, please contact us(opens in a new window).
No, the Local Change enrollment process is the same for Forever Buffs debit cards as all other debit cards. After you sign up for Local Change, donations made from your Forever Buffs account will be channeled through Elevations Foundation directly to scholarships for students and student-athletes at CU Boulder.
