Darin Atteberry

Darin was appointed to the Elevations Credit Union Board of Directors in 2026.

He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, along with deep expertise in governance, strategic planning, and community engagement. Darin currently serves as chief executive officer of Strategic Government Resources (SGR), a national firm specializing in local government executive recruitment, leadership development, and consulting. Previously, he served as Elevations' Market President for Northern Colorado, where he strengthened relationships with members, businesses and communities throughout the region.

Prior to joining Elevations, Darin spent 25 years with the City of Fort Collins, including more than 17 years as city manager. During his tenure, Fort Collins earned national recognition for innovation and organizational excellence, including the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. His leadership and service have been recognized with the Colorado Governor's Citizenship Medal and the International City/County Management Association Award for Career Excellence. Darin attended Harvard University's Senior Executive Program in State and Local Government and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration.

Darin and his high school sweetheart, Deborah, have four adult children and six grandchildren. He enjoys golf, camping, boating, and spending time with his family.
